About Course
Certified Carbon Footprint Professional – CCFP Overview
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges that countries across the globe are facing. The Indian industry is re-designing its business strategy, with a focus on decarbonization to mitigate climate change and GHG emissions. The aim is to equip the Indian industry and enhance its capabilities.
The program will provide participants with a broad overview of carbon footprint mapping, covering the key concepts of GHG emissions and accounting, international standards, reporting frameworks, organizational and product carbon footprints, and access to key data, tools, and resources.
The course content is based on the WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, which is the ISO 14064 Part 1 International Standard for GHG inventories.
The goal of the Certified Carbon Footprint Professional – CCFP Overview training program is to provide participants with the essential knowledge, principles, guidance, and tools needed to properly carry out and oversee carbon audits.
The release of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases from power generation, transportation, and other industrial and commercial activities worsens worldwide environmental effects.
Corporate entities ought to promptly implement carbon-reduction strategies in order to mitigate environmental concerns. Performing a carbon audit is essential for identifying the sources of carbon emissions and accurately measuring the environmental impact. Minimizing carbon footprints by implementing energy-conservation strategies is advantageous due to the substantial role energy consumption plays in carbon emissions.
This program is well-suited for energy professionals who want to help their organization achieve the added advantages of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These benefits include avoiding costs, mitigating risks, enhancing competitiveness, improving productivity and operations, increasing shareholder value, engaging with the community, and enhancing branding.
Krishnaji Pawar, a proficient sustainability specialist, has extensive knowledge in the field of smart city development, sustainable design strategy development, environmental impact assessment, green building certification (LEED, GSAS, etc.), energy usage modeling, greenhouse gas accounting, and emissions management.
