About Course
Sustainable Sites – Green Building Technology
Investigate the LEED v4 Sustainable Sites credits, which are associated with the environment that surrounds the building. These credits highlight the significance of local ecosystems and the need to integrate the site in a holistic manner with its surroundings. Throughout the workshop, each prerequisite and credit will be discussed in a way that is organised credit-by-credit, covering technical requirements as well as tactics that are effective in meeting them.
The site category, or “sustainable sites credits,” is concerned with the design of the proposed development having a direct impact on both the site of the development itself as well as any adjacent sites.
Sustainable landscaping and site design practises can improve the quality of the existing site and landscape and minimise impacts on the surrounding environment, including: climate change, fossil fuel depletion, water depletion and pollution, air pollution, land use and contamination, and human comfort and health.
The challenge that project teams face is to educate themselves on the most recent technical criteria and implementation methodologies for LEED version 4. This course will bring you through each of the credits for the Sustainable Sites category of the LEED v4 BD+C Rating Systems in a step-by-step manner. By expanding your current knowledge of the LEED requirements, referenced standards, related credits, and implementation methodologies, you can save time, money, and frustration on your project. You will examine situations, technology, case studies, and computations from the real world and determine how well they demonstrate best business practices.
Strategies under Sustainable Sites (SS) address impacts by rewarding decisions about the environment surrounding the building and emphasizing the vital relationships among buildings, ecosystems and ecosystem services. They focus on restoring project site elements, integrating the site with local and regional ecosystems, and preserving the biodiversity on which natural systems rely.
Krishnaji Pawar, who is the CEO and Founder of Beyond Smart Cities, put together the Sustainable Sites: Green Building Technology Training Course.
specialises in developing sustainable design strategies for Green Building Certification Systems (LEED, GSAS, ACP, ISO 14001:2015, etc.), Energy Management, Energy Efficiency, Energy Audit, Building Commissioning, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Environmental Management Systems.
