About Course
LEED Implementation Guide for Construction Professionals Training
LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a certification scheme that was designed by the United States Green Building Council in order to design, construct, and certify green buildings. The purpose of this document is to provide construction practitioners with a LEED implementation guide that will aid them in the process of being certified.
The advice, comments, and recommendations collected from LEED accredited professionals, such as architects, engineers, commissioning authority, general contractors, construction managers, and facility managers, were predominantly utilised in the development of the course.
The data were obtained by means of four different questionnaire surveys, of which two were utilised for the construction of the guide and the other two were used for the modification and validation of the guide. The LEED implementation guide can serve as a reference for general contractors, construction managers, and engineers when it comes to handling the LEED certification process. The proposed guide can also be of assistance to owners who are interested in constructing a facility that is LEED certified.
This training course was created by Krishnaji Pawar, Beyond Smart Cities in Bengaluru, India. The LEED Implementation Guide was written in conjunction with the design and implementation of sustainable strategies on the Middle East Green Building project.
specialises in developing sustainable design strategies for Green Building Certification Systems (LEED, BSAS, etc.), Energy and Water Conservation, Commissioning, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Environmental Management Systems.
It is intended to provide guidance, to facilitate the LEED process, and to aid project teams in making economically and environmentally responsible decisions for LEED projects. These objectives will be accomplished by the publication. It is not intended to replace the LEED Reference Guides, which are all essential tools when designing and building a project in accordance with the LEED Rating System. Additionally, it is not intended to replace the services of a sustainable design consultant, in the event that the project scope or complexity would benefit from outside expertise.
This course is designed to educate participants with a deeper understanding of the LEED process, with a focus on how it applies to projects located in nations of the middle east.
The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) is credited with developing the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System. The name “LEED” is a registered trademark of the USGBC. It is not appropriate to use it to describe projects that are not Registered with the US Green Building Council (USGBC), Certified by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), or do not intend to pursue LEED Certification.
