The Beyond Dynamic Meditation Training course covers a variety of topics, including meditation philosophy, breathing techniques, and advanced stages of dynamic meditation. These phases include irregular breathing, explosive dance, hopping on heels, pausing, freezing, and rejoicing.

Indian spiritual teacher Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) developed dynamic meditation, an active form of meditation that combines movement, sound, and catharsis to achieve heightened awareness and inner silence. Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) developed it in the 1970s to cater to individuals living in a fast-paced, chaotic modern world.

Dynamic meditation aims to facilitate the release of pent-up emotions and energies through physical movement and expression. The process typically consists of five distinct phases, each lasting a set duration.

The process consists of five distinct phases: chaotic breathing (10 minutes), catharsis (10 minutes), hoo! (10 minutes), stillness (15 minutes), and celebration (15 minutes).

Phase 1 involves chaotic breathing, creating a heightened state of energy within the body. Phase 2 encourages participants to express themselves freely through movement and sound, facilitating the release of suppressed emotions. Phase 3 involves jumping up and down with arms raised, shouting “Hoo!” with each jump, resulting in a powerful release of energy. Phase 4 is stillness (15 minutes), allowing participants to cease all movement and settle into a state of quiet. Phase 5 is Celebration (15 minutes), which allows energy generated during earlier phases to manifest in a celebratory state.

Dynamic meditation is believed to provide psychological, emotional, and physical benefits, including emotional release, increased awareness, physical vitality, and a deeper connection between the mind and body. While spiritual and experiential traditions primarily focus on dynamic meditation, some research suggests that active forms of meditation, including dynamic meditation, may positively influence psychological well-being. By integrating movement, sound, and emotional release, dynamic meditation offers a unique approach to meditation that allows individuals to reconnect with themselves holistically.
